Sicily has two main airports: Catania and Palermo. Arranging a
flight is very easy nowadays through a travel agent or over the
Internet.
Villa
Valview is situated about 70 km from Catania airport, (Fontanarossa),
which takes approximately 1.5 hours and it is roughly 300 km from
Palermo, which takes approximately 4.5 hours. The amount of time it
takes depends on traffic.
For an extra cost, Villa Valview offers a shuttle
service to and from either of the airports. The Villa Valview
Shuttle service from Catania costs 50 Euros one way and the shuttle
service from Palermo costs 150 Euros one way.
Otherwise, clients can either hire a car at their
airport of arrival or make arrangements prior to their travel date.
Alternatively, for an administrative fee of 30 Euros, Villa Valview
can arrange a hire car for clients upon arrival at the Villa Valview
property. Please ask for further information.

Driving from Palermo - you need to get on to
the ring road that takes you to the autostrada, (motorway), Palermo-Catania.
When you reach Catania you need to follow the signs for Messina,
staying on the motorway. At Catania you will go through a toll
where you need to push the red button to get a ticket, which you
will pay once you reach the exit. After approximately 45 km
you need to take the exit posted as Giardini - Taormina (Sud).
The motorway toll fee currently stands at 1.30 Euro in 2007.
Once you have left the motorway toll, you need to
follow the signs for Francavilla di Sicilia. You will come through
the following villages in this order: Trappitello, Gaggi,
Bivio di Graniti, Finaido, San Cataldo, Gole Dell'Alcantara. If
you feel lost at any time, stop and ask for any one of these places.
Once you have passed the Gole Dell'Alcantara, you
will see a sign saying Motta Camastra, turn right there and follow
the road all the way up the mountain until you come to the sign
indicating Villa Valview. Follow that road all the way and
follow our signs.
